The SMICS Breast Tumour Group works collaboratively to improve the delivery of care to breast cancer patients. Their activities are guided by the Patient Management Frameworks which outline a consistent statewide approach to optimal care management.
Membership comprises health professionals from SMICS member health services: Alfred Health, Cabrini Health, Peninsula Health and Southern Health, and includes specialist medical, nursing and allied health staff.

The Breast Tumour Group has been involved in the following projects :
- data collection review (identifying and reviewing current data systems being used)
- enhanced MDT meetings (part of the Continuum of Care Project)
- establishing an integrated lymphoedema service across the region
