The SMICS Gynaecoligical Tumour Group work collaboratively to improve the delivery of care to gynaecology cancer patients. Their activities are guided by the Patient Management Frameworks which outline a consistent statewide approach to optimal care management.
Membership comprises health professionals from SMICS member health services: Alfred Health, Cabrini Health, Southern Health, and Peninsula Health and includes specialist medical, nursing and allied health staff.

The Gynaecology Tumour Group has been involved in the following projects :
- virtual meeting technology (connecting regional clinicians)
- enhanced MDT meetings (part of the Continuum of Care Project)
- developing clinical guidelines
